I use PA between two computers. Since I modify both systems (home laptop & work computer), it would be nice if I could merge the files. Right now, it looks like I have to import the files and then manually remove duplicats. Thanks

But in the meantime, make the files simply - and use the take it with me approach to copy the files to a floppy - then install on the second computer.
hen you make changes on the second computer, then copy back to floppy (obviously, only the .pwa files, and the .old (if any) files - and take it back to the house, close PWA, and copy your newer file over the older ones.
This is how I keep the two sets concurrent with each other. Cumbersome, but as Ahto said, a better synchronization is being planned. |

Update - I now upload the files to a private ftp site I have on my web space. Works like a charm.
As soon as that is implemented in PA, things will rock - and Ahto has said he will look into it as a possibility |

I am eagerly looking forward to some sort of merge functionality.
In the meantime, if I forget to take my USB dongle with me, that has the 'master' password agent file, I make changes to the local copy and then try to merge the changes back onto the dongle when I next have it.
It is a very error prone process. It would be helped if you could have 2 pwa files open at the same time and could drag/drop or copy/paste entries between them. I tried to do it via export and import, but failed.
Thanks!

| There is no need to use FTP or floppy/flash drives when you are always connected to the internet. You could try free online synchronization service Dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/) |

| Because of using the online sync tool, which includes revision management I have a small request to allow set "Count of old files to keep when saving" option to "0" via Options window. Now I have to set it manually via Registry to avoid multiple files in my Dropbox. |

A nice alternative to DropBox is windows live sync sync.live.com
Unlike DropBox, it does not store copies (and old versions) of your file online - it merely syncs the files between multiple computers. Since I only use Password Agent on one computer at a time, as I change the files, these are automatically updated on any other computer (immediately if it is online, or after it comes online).
I've been using this for the past few months to keep my password agent files in sync across 4 computers. Very handy. |
