Posted - 14 October 2002 : 20:55:25 I recently moved to version 1.5.3 of Backup Magic when my system was upgraded to Win 2000. I had to alter my bms definitions slightly to pick up new system locations of the desktop and IE Favourites. What is occuring now is that a large number of items from the C:/Documents and Settings folder from both the desktop and favourite subfolders get backed up everytime even though the timestamps on the files in the source and dest areas are identical. Changing to use the archive attribute does not change the behaviour. The desired backup type is 'mirror'ed. I have tried the 'incremental' backup method - that has the same problem. Before my Win 2000 / BM 1.5.3 upgrade, I did not have this issue.

In Mirror mode you can't use file attribute option since we need to copy only files that *actually* do not exist in destination! This can't be deteced by source file attributes.
