Posted - 03 September 2002 : 13:07:27 I have been using password agent for several months with no problems until now. I have my passwords on a floppy to keep it off the computer, I recently downloaded some critical upgrades for my windows 98SE, now I'm getting a file corrupted message after I type in my password for the program. I tried unistalling the main program and reinstalling, no help. How can I fix this problem I can't get to any of my passwords.

Sorry to shock you but a floppy disk is the most unreliable thing in the world to store your password file. Floppy disks usually develop bad sectors during extensive use (they are open to dust etc) and your data just becomes inaccessible. Try to copy the file to your hard disk and open there, although this may not be possible if you disk is really "bad". If that is the case you may try to repair the disk with Norton Disk Doctor for example. I think your Windows update is not involved.
