The variable <ScriptPath> returns drive letter with the path: "E:\backup_script\". Is there a way to automatically return only the drive letter?

Currently there is no special variable like <ScriptDrive>, it is worth adding in the future.

However, currently you can achieve similar result by using <Drive> variable with parameter "dir=" or "file=", like:

<drive dir="backup_script">

This will return drive which has folder "backup_script" and is likely the same drive from where you run your script. You can also use "file=" to specify script file name to check for this file.

You can also use "label" or "serial". For example you can name the drive where you copy files as "Backup". Then detect this drive using <Drive label="Backup">.
