Hi,

We are currently evaluating Backup Magic and all seems well except that we cannot make the ‘Keep old changed file’ facility do anything.

We are copying from one hard drive to another using incremental backup.

Any ideas please.

Alan

If a file you copy already exists in destination when this existing version (now old, because you are copying new version of it) will be renambed to have .old file extension. That way you can keep 1 level of previous versions of copied files.

Please note you can enable this option separately for each group in your backup set, so if you don't see .old files after running the backup set, maybe for this location where you look at destination, the option is not enabled.
