I backup my iTunes directory (i.e. d:\itunes). However, all downloaded podcasts are stored in d:\itunes\podcasts\ with an additional subfolder for each podcast I subscribe to.

Is there a way to exclude d:\itunes\podcasts\ including all its subdirectories?

Note: the subdir list is rather long and varies from time to time, which prevents me from creating an exclusion list with all these directories. It would require extensive manual job before each backup.

You can just add "podcasts" to your exclude folders mask then it will not be included.
