Hi Ahto,

When I try the "Show Hidden Files" option from the Windows Explorer's context menu, I got a message that says:

"Sorry, this function requires at least Windows XP with Service Pack 2."

Is it possible to get this option to work on Windows 2000 machine?

Thanks,

Devin

PS - Thank you for this excellent program!

Where did you read that Shell Tools works on 64-bit platform?

I didn't, I made an assumption when I read Vista compatibility. I look forward to the 64-bit version.

Thanks.

Shell Tools contains 32-bit shell extensions and these will work only in 32-bit programs.

Ahto,

No, unfortunately they do not. However I do see the icon in the bottom right.

I am running vista x64 ultimate.

Thanks,
~Ahmad

Be sure "Show Hidden Files" command is also selected in Shell Tools control panel (it is possible to hide the command in control panel).

Do other Shell Tools extension work in your system?

Hello

I really am looking forward to using the Shell Tools on my new vista box, specifically the "show hidden files" toggle. However after enabling the FolderBackground I am unable to see the option.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

~Ahmad

Sorry, no. This function uses Windows API that is not available in Windows 2000.

Hi Ahto, yes but I'm asking if you can make this program compatible with Windows 2000? Corporate are slow to upgrade their operating system..

Well, the message tells you clearly that you need Windows XP with service pack 2 (or newer) to use that function. It does not work on older OS, including Windows 2000.
